FAQ

When can a NWOCA technologist meet with me?
Commonly it will be during your planning period. It could also be before or after school.

What is a scheduled resource visit day?
Many districts have enough teachers interested in one-on-one training that our Educational technologists will schedule one day a month to visit the school and teachers use a sign up sheet to schedule a time to meet with them.

How many times can we use the service?
Typically you will be able to meet once a month for 2 hours. If you are working on an interactive lesson plan or wish to team teach with a technologist then several meetings will be needed.

What kind of skills do I need to have?
Most teachers that use the service have some experience with computers. Generally you do not need to have a lot of experience. Our approach is that the teacher is the content expert and the technologist is the technology expert. Together we can plan and implement technology infused lessons.

How do I get started?
The easiest way to get in touch with a NWOCA Instructional Services staff member to arrange a resource visit is to send an email request to our Group Email <mail_staff_ins@nwoca.org> This will send a message to all the INS team and the appropriate person for your school will respond to the email.
