Teacher Training


The NWOCA Instructional services staff are available to come to your distict and provide free training to member district staff in any of the training sessions that are offered on our training schedule.

Student Training


Our staff are also available to teach or team-teach classes to students. Many teachers have benefited from a NWOCA Educational Technologist coming into their classroom and teaching students how to use programs such as PowerPoint and iMovie to enhance their learning.

FAQ

How many teachers do we need for NWOCA to put on a session?
Depending on the size of a disrict we generally ask for at least 10 participants. For smaller districts we will make exceptions. Smaller numbers are better addressed with individual resource visits.

How much does it cost?
The service is free to NWOCA member school districts who subscribe to the NWOCA Ed Tech programs.
Non subscribers are charged a standard fee per hour for training. (Contact Julianne Lange for more information)

Do you work with Students?
Yes, our Ed Techs are happy to help team teach or to lead classroom sessions that encorporate technology into the curriculum. The teacher acts as the curriculum expert and the Ed Tech as the technology expert.
